This is the first time I've attempted to create effects for a film that has never been made.

A few months ago I stumbled upon a PDF document of Concept Art for A TOPIARY, which is from the same mind that brought us PRIMER.

I was amazed with the concept art and I thought a lot of these objects and shapes could be created with a 3D printer.  I have been on the fence with a getting a 3D printer for years now but this inspired me to finally take the plunge and purchase one.

I also read the script and it is one of kind and really is a shame this film never got made.  Hopefully this video will shed a light on some of the imaginative elements that this film would have consisted of.
